Treatment & Restoration

Whether you’ve got an old weathered table that needs restoring, or a newly purchased one that needs to be treated, we’re here to help.

We offer the below services:

  1. Treatment: treatment and finishing of newly manufactured hardwood goods that have not yet been treated (eg a raw item).
  2. Restoration: Sanding, filling and treating of hardwood goods that have existing sealing products on them (eg restoration).

Just like our own newly manufactured solid oak goods, we will use Rubio Monocoat (a professional grade product) to treat and restore your top surfaces, leaving a light, matt natural finish which preserves the oaks natural tones while providing stain/wear/moisture protection.

The process:

  1. Send us an email to hello@good-oak.co.za detailing the size, type of wood, and type of item to be treated/restored, along with a few good quality images, making sure to detail anything specific that may be of a concern to us.
  2. Include your address so we can include transportation costs for collection and delivery (if needed); please specify if you’d like to arrange this yourself or if you will be delivering the items to our workshop.
  3. Based of the above, we may request a little more information, after which we’ll send through a quotation with an eta.
  4. Upon your acceptance of our quotation, an invoice will be raised and your booking will be confirmed.
